Adab - Adab Fasting

A. eating Sahur

People who fast are encouraged to eat the meal. It is based on the hadith of 'Amr ibn Al-`As radi' anhu that the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam said:

فصل ما بين صيامنا وصيام أهل الكتاب أكلة السحور

"The difference between our fasting by fasting of the book is a meal." (Narrated by Muslim)

From Salman radi 'anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam said:


الْبَرَكَةُ فِيْ ثَلاَثَةٍ: الْجَمَاعَةِ وَالثَّرِيْدِ وَالسَّحُوْرِ


"Blessing is on three things: the congregation, tsarid (kneading bread soaked in soup), and the meal." (Narrated Ath-Thabrani, 6 / 251, with a hasan chain of transmission to the amplifier, see Shifat shaum An-Nabi by Ali al-Halabi, p.. 44)

end the right meal based on the hadith of Zayd ibn Thabit Anas radi 'anhu, he said:

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam said:

Law is the Sunnah muakkadah meal. Ibn al-Mundhir said: "People have agreed that the meal is Sunnah and there is no sin for those who do not do it based on the hadeeth of Anas ibn Malik radi 'anhu that the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam said:

تسحروا فإن في السحور بركة
 

"Eat meal was, because actually the meal was his blessings." (Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Recommended meal with a date, if any, and be with others based on the hadith of Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam said:


نعم السحور المؤمن التمر
 

"The best meal of a believer is dates." (Narrated by Abu Dawood, 2 / 2345, and Ibn Hibban, 8 / 3475, Al-Bayhaqi, 4 / 236, and classed as saheeh by Ash-Shaykh Al-Albani rahimahullah)
If anyone doubted whether dawn has published or not, then he should eat and drink until he was convinced that the dawn has risen.
God's Word subhanallahu wata'ala:

وكلوا واشربوا حتى يتبين لكم الخيط الأبيض من الخيط الأسود من الفجر
 

"Eat and drink until you are clear to you white thread and black thread of the dawn ...." (Al-Baqarah: 187)
As-Sa'di said rahimahullah: "to him there (the proposition) that if (someone) to eat and

B.Iftar
People who break their fasting is recommended to accelerate if it has entered time to break. It should not be postponed even though he was still strong to fast. 'Amr ibn al-Audi Maimun narrated:


كان أصحاب محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم أعجل الناس إفطارا وأبطأهم سحورا
 

"The companions of Muhammad sallallaahu alaihi wasallam is the fastest and slowest breaking dawn was his." (Narrated by al-Bayhaqi, 4 / 238, and Ibn Hajar Al-Hafidz rahimahullah menshahihkan sanadnya)
Said ash-Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen rahimahullah:
"Quickly iftar (recommended) when the sun had set, not because of prayer. But at the current time (many) people to adjust hours of prayer with them. So when the sun has set for you may not break even muadzdzin a call to prayer. "(Al-Sharh al-Mumti ')
Open fasting done in a state he knows with certainty that the sun had set. This can be done by looking at the ocean and

Accelerate the breaking of the fast is to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam. Sahl bin Sa'ad radi 'anhu narrated the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam said:


لا تزال أمتي على سنتي ما لم تنتظر بفطرها النجوم
 

"Always on top Sunnahku my people as long as they do not wait (emergence) when the star was about to break." (Narrated by al-Hakim, 1 / 599, Ibn Hibban, 8 / 3510, with a saheeh isnaad. See Shifat shaum An-Nabi case . 63)
Accelerate the breaking of the fast will be good for the culprit. As narrated by Sahl bin Sa'ad radi 'anhu that the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam said:


لا يزال الناس بخير ما عجلوا الفطر
 

"Always in a good human being as long as they accelerate the iftar." (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 2 / 1856, and Muslim, 2 / 1098)
Accelerate the breaking of the fast is an act

لا يزال هذا الدين ظاهرا ما عجل الناس الفطر لأن اليهود والنصارى يؤخرون

كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يفطر قبل أن يصلي على رطبات فإن لم تكن رطبات فتميرات فإن لم تكن تميرات حسا حسوات من ماء
 

"The Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam is breaking with ruthab (younger dates) before prayer (Maghrib), when no ruthab then with Tamr (dates are ripe), if not then with a few sips of water." (Narrated by Abu Dawood, 2 / 2356, and At-Tirmidhi, 3 / 696, Ad-Daruquthni, 2 / 185, with a saheeh isnaad, classed as saheeh by Ash-Shaykh Al-Albani rahimahullah).
